Air Flow
Balanced HVAC air flow not only makes your home more comfortable, it also makes the heating and cooling system run more efficiently. As a result, high HVAC efficiency means lower utility bills.
How to assess & improve air flow issues:
- Walk through your home and notice areas that seem too warm or too cold.
- Make sure that all air registers are open and unobstructed by furniture, drapes or clutter throughout the house.
- Adjust the lever on the air register in any room that is too hot or too cold. Sometimes partially closing a register vent in a small room will force more air into a larger room, making both rooms more comfortable.
- Balance the air flow through the HVAC duct system. Many systems have manual dampers that are located at along the ductwork and slide open or shut to increase or limit air flow from the furnace.
- Talk with one of our professionals at Aire-Flo Heating Company about service options to increase your HVAC air flow and decrease your energy bills.
